• Positive solutions to handling problems maybe our slogan but in real terms it's our business.

*Goods Received/Despatched:

• We have recently installed a bespoke conveyor system to handle plastic boxes containing archive materials for one of our major customers

• The heavy boxes need to be regularly unloaded from the back of vans, taken into the Goods Received/Despatch area, emptied, replenished with new archive material and then re-loaded into the vans.

• The original handling system involved excessive lifting and manual movement of the boxes and for Health and Safety reasons an improved handling method had to be found.

*Lessen the Physical Effect:

• We have developed a simple system involving a combination of a powered belt conveyor for unloading the vans and moving boxes into the building and then a series of ball-tables and gravity roller conveyors to reduce the physical effort in moving the boxes.

*And the Weather...

• Because some of the conveyors operate outside the building a canopy has been installed to protect operatives and equipment during inclement weather. Some equipment has been supplied on castors to enable it to be easily moved indoors and stored overnight.

• The system consists of one QD powered belt conveyor, four ball-tables and five lengths of gravity roller conveyor
