*Special Powered Belt Conveyor:

• Here are some pictures of a recent special powered belt conveyor, tailored to our customer’s specific requirements. The application is the removal of metal parts from a forming machine.

• The belt conveyor is 3.5 m long and has a narrow oil-resistant polyurethane belt, 100 mm wide, fitted with pvc flights 25 mm high and spaced at 150 mm pitch. The belt conveyor is driven by a 0.18 kW right angled geared motor located at the discharge end. The parts are removed at very low level, 140 mm off the floor, by dropping into a small chute above the conveyor belt at the bottom end.

• The whole belt conveyor is mounted within a large drip tray to collect any excess oil and to maintain a clean working area.

• The belt conveyor is now installed and operating satisfactorily.
