We have designed and supplied some particularly interesting conveyors since our last News update:
The largest project was for direct export of belt conveyors to a new distribution warehouse to unload heavy bags of materials from container vehicles and transfer and stack them. The system needed to operate in two directions to destack the bags for re-distribution.
A total of seven powered belt conveyors have been supplied. The unloading and stacking powered belt conveyors both have adjustable height booms. The vehicle unloader belt conveyor had a fixed length boom and the stacking belt conveyor had a telescopic boom. All conveyors are mobile and are rated at 50kg/metre UDL.
Please refer to the pictures for more information:
We received a repeat order for a powered belt conveyor with feed hopper to handle waste material. This belt conveyor is part of a larger system.
A third project involved a wide powered belt feeder conveyor, approx. 4.5 m long and 900 mm wide consisting of level and inclined belt conveyor sections coupled together with a sprocket and chain connector. The conveyor will be handling waste cardboard material from a low level raising it up to approx. 23.0° for delivery into a collection bin.
We are currently working on some very interesting new conveyor projects. The first is a belt conveyor system including 3 mezzanine floor belt conveyors plus associated gravity and powered roller conveyors. The second involves a combination of gravity roller conveyors and ball-tables for a University library application and the third a gravity roller conveyor system for handling plastic tote boxes within a large parcel distribution centre. The first project has been installed, the other 2 projects are still in production. More details will follow in our next News Update.
